The Men's Brief I

Here's kind of what my drawing process looks like....sorry the photos aren't so great.

The Men's Brief I, 15"x30", graphite on Arches 300lb hot press watercolor paper

WITH GOD ON MY SIDE

So due to flooding from the ceiling in the VASA office, I can't photocopy Source Decay Issue #4. I'm pretty pissed. If anyone knows where I can make 100, double-sided, 11"x17" photocopies for free, LET ME KNOW. Otherwise, Source Decay is on permanent hold. Fuck.

It's modern.

I did this drawing before spring break last week, but I didn't scan it until today. Right now, I'm drawing another American Apparel girl with graphite, except this new one is 30 inches tall instead of 12. It's almost life size. I'm also taking pictures along the way, so when I finally post it, everyone can see my drawing process...sort of. I've also concluded that American Apparel models are replicants.

Self Portrait

I just got back from Prague yesterday. It's the first time I've ever been outside of America. The message of the drawing isn't necessarily pessimistic or optimistic, it's just a feeling. I'm a little shook up and overwhelmed.
