Illustration trends.

I've noticed lately that a bunch of illustrators are on twitter. It seems like a good way to avoid being alone while being alone working on art. Some sort of abstract audience. Maybe I'll try it. Maybe.

I helped my uncle clean out his garage last Sunday and I got a few records. A record collection is not something my bank account needs right now, but vinyl is an amazing medium for both music and illustration. Below is a Lou Reed album from 1978 which proves that black line art and flat coloring has been a staple in illustration before photoshop existed.
